Sunland TV Service is still the largest home electronics repair company on the Sunshine Coast with its workshop in the heart of Maroochydore.  We have been trading since 1975 when Mr George Dokic started an antenna and tv repair service in Bli Bli.  It rapidly grew to a well respected business and it was relocated to Maroochydore on Horton Parade shortly thereafter.  In 2000 Sunland TV Service won the Australian Institute of Management Award and during that period we had a staff of 25 people, composed of nine administrative staff and sixteen technicians ranging from specialised television technicians, audio and video technicians, antenna repairs/installer technicians and field service technicians.

Sunland TV Service changed to the current owner, Nando Strano in 2002 and after a restructuring of the company it was relocated to the current address of Norval Court Maroochydore.  Nando commenced his Electronics course in Italy in 1978 and completed his apprenticeship with Hills Industries (Hills Telefix) in Melbourne by the age of 21.  After transferring to Brisbane he managed Hills Telefix, Kedron branch, for five years and in 1993 he commenced working for Tomas Electronics in New Farm and subsequently bought the business in 1995.  Nando’s electronics and business skills, together with his wife Maria, have allowed him to run successful businesses.

Mr George Dokic is still employed by Sunland TV Service as our senior technician constantly offering professional service to our customers.  Our long lasting apprentice, Doug Tilley commenced his apprenticeship with Sunland TV Service and some fifteen years later continues to offer his professional skills.  Our service manager, Gary Tulk trained with OTC in Sydney and has been offering technical and managerial skills to Sunland TV Service for the last thirteen or so years and is the front person at our office together with Alan Pereyra one of our most recent staff members.

In mid 2009 our technical team was joined by Mr Don Garrow formerly of Garrows TV & Video of Caloundra.  Don operated his own business for many years and his priceless experience has benefited our organisation.  The strength of all our technicians combined assures professional repairs to all our customers.

Our technicians attend regular training and are kept up to date with the latest technology by the leading manufacturers for which we are authorised service agents, such as Panasonic, Samsung, LG Electronics, Sharp and many more.  We are the preferred repairer for the leading extended warranty organisations such as Lumley Retail Warranty and Harvey Norman Extended Warranties, so whenever you buy a product from any of the retailers on the Sunshine Coast and you have been fortunate enough to purchase an extended warranty you will more than likely be guaranteed the professional service of our organisation.  Our service area covers from Tewantin to Pelican Waters and west to Nambour.  You probably would have seen our big yellow van “Big Bird” on the road, our field technicians, he will gracefully collect your plasma, LCD and reconnect it after repairs
